I have no thoughts on the "photoshop" comments, but that picture of Morgan is just PERFECTION. I just found myslef staring at every detail about her and it left a smile on my face. She's just perfect. (But with two perfect parents, how could it be otherwise!)

haha this post made me laugh. I think there comes a moment for everyone interested in photography when they realize that what they see on 'pro' sites is entirely photo shopped. That moment came with great sadness for me, because I wish it could be done without it! I guess once you realize it's either a relief because you don't have to try so hard, or a burden because you don't want to bother.

The only solution for getting amazing images SOOC is to shoot film. Film is the only way you can get amazing images without flat color. And I'm not the one saying it, pro film shooters say it, pro digital shooters say it. You just have to pick your poison. With digital it's knowing you are going to have to edit. With film, it's the wait time and the expense. I would definitely shoot film if I could afford it.

It's true what you said, a lot of what goes into an image these days is photoshop. I've sort of hit a wall with my photography. If I want to take it up a notch I either need to learn more about photoshop or switch to film. And since I can't afford film, I guess I'll learn photoshop. But I hate that! I wish you could do it all in-camera. I'm finding that with my photography I love side-lit and backlit images because they don't need editing (or much editing), and when I have a choice I choose those lighting options because I don't have to edit.

I think most people feel like they have to edit their images because they don't know how to get proper exposures. They HAVE to edit to get a normal looking images.

There's not much you could do to that lovely image above :) well done.
